7.6 Maintenance
7.6.1 Traction Power
Substations shall receive power through two reliable channels from a power source network to guarantee uninterrupted power supply to the railway system as mentioned before. Although the power receipt voltage depends on the voltage of power transmission lines, it should be 33 to 66 kV as this level matches the power required by ELRTS and reduces maintenance work on cubicle gas insulation switchgears (CGIS) installed at substations.
To reduce maintenance burdens and prevent accidents, it is desirable to introduce remote monitor equipment such as the proven SCADA system or other devices that have been proven as reliable through usage at various places.
