The trend analysis also estimates a population of 10.25 million in the year 2021. Out of this, 9 million would be in the Bangalore city and 1.25 million would be in peripheral towns and new cities taking into account of the strategic development plans for the Bangalore region.

4.2.4 Per Capita Trip Rate
Per capita trip rates (PCTR) were estimated by trip purpose for the seven transport planning sector, based on the trip rates in the 1994 household survey as shown in Table 4.2-2.
