P3. The third step which communicate with captain and connects with a main shaft clutch.

P4. The fourth step which adjusts the main engine for low-speed to normal-speed.

P5. The fifth step witch depart from port in S/B operation.

The above steps have to be carried out by a sequential order P1〜P5 on departing and on arriving done by reversible sequential order P5〜P1. First of all it is the most important for trainee to see and touch each of actual machineries and equipments in engine room and the better to confirm and recognize them by the full configuration of engine room system shown in fig 3 on the large sized screen 1.40[m]×1.00[m] installed in the lecture room, which can provide all the items shown in Table 3 by selected by means of each program on installed in PC.

 

4. EXPERIMENTAL TRAINING ON ENGINE SIMULATOR

 

The history of practical training was shown in Table 4. The first four trainings was for pre-training with two hours in total in order to introduce full engine system and instructs detail of symbol words and functions and the last four for training with three hours in order to compose each equipment for S/B mode by using engine simulator.
