Course Display Board (Signal Converter)

This course display board converts position signals from the GPS navigation system into display signals with a signal converter to let passengers on board know where their ship is sailing on its normal course. The display board uses high-luminance light emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged on the chart of the beard. This display board can contribute to improved service to passengers traveling regular routes.

■Features of the display board include:

(1) The display is well visible and easy to understand.

(2) As it uses LEDs, there is no need to replace light bulbs.

(3) The display board can steadily operate and display the ship's position even in stormy weather.

(4) A single signal converter can control up to 32 course display boards.

■Main Particulars

1. Course Display Board

(1) Configuration:

LED lamps to indicate the present position of the ship are arranged on a map depicting its course housed in an aluminum box, and a printed circuit board to control the display and a power supply unit for these items is built into the box.

(2) Display:

40 high-luminance LEDS (colored in orange for positions at sea and green for positions in port)

(3) Function:

Position signals from GPS are converted by the signal converter into display signals, which indicate the present position of the ship.

(4) Power supply:

A.C. 100 to 120 V, 50/60 Hz

(5) Dimensions:

500 mm (l) × 500 mm (w) × 100 mm (h)

(6) Mode of fitting:

Hung on a wall on board (indoors)
