Chapter VII. Miscellaneous Provisions

(Increase, Decrease or Alteration, Etc. in the Protocol of Inquiry)

Article 79. When the request of a stater, which the protocol is recorded related to a statement of the persons concerned in the inquiry, is presented in the court, the Presiding Judgement shall couse the clerk to read a part relevant to the statement and to record the effect of the said statement therein which the application is presented on increase, decrease or alteration.

Article 80. An Examinee, a Designated Person Concerned in a Marine Accident, a Counsellor, or a representative may select a place to receive the notification, notice or documents under the location of the competent Marine Accidents Inquiry Agency, and report it to such agency.

2. Where there is no report mentioned in paragraph 1, the notification, notice or documents shall be served to the residence of such person.

3. The report mentioned in paragraph 1 shall be made in writing for each instance of inquiry.

Article 81. A Clerk may effect service of notification, notice or documents by post.

2. In the case of paragraph 1, the service of such notification, notice or documents shall be deemed to have been effected when the document was registered in the post office by the Clerk, except in the case of summons of the persons concerned in an inquiry.

(Service by Publication)

Article 82. In case that the notification, notice or documents are to be served to person whose address is unknown, the contents thereof may be published in the Official Gazette in stead of the service of such notification, notice or documents.

2. In the case of paragraph 1, the notification, notice or documents shall be deemed to be served on the date when they are published.
