What are the respective territories if the inspection are shared by these oragnizations or agencies?
The following organizations are recognized and authorized to conduct an inspection of Philippine registered vessel while on foreign port only:
a) American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)
b) Lloyd's Register of Shipping (LRS)
c) Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NKK)
d) Bureau Veritas (BV)
e) Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
f) Germanischer Lloyd (GL)
g) Registro Italiano Navale (NV)
5. What are the regulations for acquisition of the qualification of the Radio Officer or the General Operator's Ceritifcate for ships?
For partial GMDSS equipped vessel a radio officer with 1st class Radio Telegraph Operator's Certificate.
For fully equipped GMDSS vessel: two deck officer with General Operator Certificate (GOC) or one radio officer with both 1st class Radio Telegraph Operator's Certificate and GOC.
