4.4 Hydrostatic unit
4.4.1 Structure and Parts name
Structure and parts names of the hydrostatic unit are shown in Figure 4.4.1 (a) and (b).

4.4.2 Operation
When the lifeboat is fully water-born, the hydrostatic unit pushes up the interlock lever by the water pressure and release handle can be operated. Contrary to this, operation of the release handle is not allowed by the hydrostatic unit when the lifeboat is not fully water-born.
