(9) Overhaul of the hydrostatic system
If necessary, overhaul the hydrostatic unit on the ground or the condition that the lifeboat is slung by the hanging-off pennant.
Carry out the operation test after the assembly.
With reference to the lock condition, confirm the positions of the release handle, the interlock lever, the interlock cover and the safety pin.
Inspection of the control cables and the interlock cable
Check the control cables and the interlock cable, adjust them, if necessary.
Lifeboat on-load release system should be operationally tested under a load of 1.1 times the total mass of the lifeboat when loaded with its full complement of persons and equipment whenever the release system is overhauled. Such overhauling and test should be carried out at least once every 5 years.
