The Ryoichi Sasakawa Fellowship Program
 
SYLFF Program:
The program aims to support the education of graduate students at the university who show high potential for future leadership. The fellowships are available to students enrolled in classes of music (vocal, instruments, music theory, composition, conducting, sound engineering, and electronic music), drama, film, and television courses.
 
Selection Process:
SYLFF fellowships are announced in all university brochures. Selection is conducted at the level of institutes recommend up to 3 candidates to the SYLFF steering committee which makes the final selection. Selection is based on performance and financial need. Fellowships are usually from 〓2,295 to 〓4,590. To date, ninety (90) fellowships have been awarded.

The objective of the program is to educate graduate students at the School with high potential for future leadership in international affairs, in public life as well as in private endeavor, providing these students with a wide range of courses leading to a graduate degree in Music.
 
The fellowships are provided to outstanding graduate students for a period not exceeding three (3) years.
