The Cincinnati Gear Company was founded in 1907 to serve the rapidly expanding machine tool industry in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Customer satisfaction, quality, and sound management soon established Cincinnati Gear as an industry leader.

　

In the years that followed, Cincinnati Gear maintained its leadership position by offering new and innovative ideas and products. Since 1936, The Cincinnati Gear Company has been instrumental in the development and perfection of ground tooth, carburized, and hardened gearing. During the 1950's, The Cincinnati Gear Company led the industry in the design and manufacture of epicyclic gear units for a wide range of powers and speeds.

・1907	COMPANY FOUNDED.
・1936	BEGAN PRODUCTION OF CARBURIZED, HARDENED, AND GROUND GEARS.
・1956	BEGAN MANUFACTURING STOECKICHT EPICYCLIC GEARS.　INSTALLED MAAG GRINDING AND CHECKING EQUIPMENT.
・1972	STOECKICHT DESIGN/MANUFACTURE LICENSE AGREEMENT MADE WITH BHS.
・1982	ACQUIRED LEBANON, NEW JERSEY PLANT.　SITE OF LARGE, PRECISION GEAR FACILITY, FABRICATION SHOP, AND LARGE MACHINE SHOP.
・1984	INSTALLED, HIGH PRECISION BHS-HOFLER GEAR GRINDER IN LEBANON PLANT, AND BEGAN PRODUCTION.
・1988	COMPANY REORGANIZED.
・1992	RELOCATED LEBANON, NEW JERSEY PLANT TO ERLANGER, KENTUCKY.　SITE OF FABRICATION, LARGE GEAR MANUFACTURING, ASSEMBLY, AND TEST FACILITIES.
