コンポジション+シンポージアム(シンポジウム)=コンポージアムは、新しい音楽の創造を奨励する武満徹作曲賞の本選演奏会を含む、東京オペラシティの同時代音楽フェスティバルです。コンポージアム2001では、本年度の作曲賞審査員としてご参加くださるオリヴァー・ナッセン氏の創造の世界をご紹介するとともに、特別音楽顧問ケント・ナガノのアドヴァイスのもとに選ばれた、同時代音楽の解釈者として世界的に傑出した演奏家たちが登場します。私たちは、このフェスティバルで「むずかしい」現代音楽からの脱皮を試みたいと考えています。みなさまも東京オペラシティで「現代音楽は楽しい。いっしょに同時代」を体験していただければ幸いです。

　

"Composition" plus "Symposium" equals "Composium", the contemporary music festival of Tokyo Opera City. Composium 2001 includes the final selection concert for the Toru Takemitsu Composition Award, a competition set up to encourage the creation of new musical works; an introduction to the creative world of Oliver Knussen, judge for this year's Composition Award; and the appearance on the stage of several world-renowned performers on whom our Special Music Advisor Kent Nagano, who are relied on as interpreters of contemporary music. By this festival, we want to try to be free from the image of contemporary music as something hard to understand or appreciate. We hope everyone will come and experience with us light-hearted enjoyment of contemporary music at Tokyo Opera City.
