「NPO法施行後の現状と課題」
1998年12月にNPO法が成立・施行され、ますますNPOに注目が集まっている。しかし一方、その概念、目的、運営方法など、さまざまな点で暖昧さをもつNPOは、さまざまな議論を呼び起こしている。それらの議論を整理し、今後、NPOが進む方向を探る。
"After the Enactment of Japan's NPO Law - Present Situation and Future Issues"
With the enactment in Japan of the Law to Promote Specified Nonprofit Activities, increasing public attention is being paid to the merits of nonprofit organizations (NPOs). At the same time, however, various ambiguities in the concepts, objectives and operations of Japanese NPOs have evoked considerable debate as to their nature and role. The subject conference sought to sort out this debate and to identify future issues and directions for Japanese NPOs.
