(Glossary of Japanese Transport Policy)

The Glossary of Japanese Transport Policy is a dictionary with explanations to support a sound understanding of Japan's transportation policy for the transportation policymakers and researchers in other countries.

In the area of international exchange, which is expected to be increasingly dynamic in future years, this dictionary contributes to an accurate understanding of Japanese transportation policy through definitions, explanations and backgrounds of the terminology used in Japan's policy debates.

Hanna Suchocka, Poland's Minister of Justice, Invited October 1999

Located between Germany and Russia, Poland has a long and tragic history of invasion and annexation. Minister Suchocka, who played a pivotal role in creating the "new Poland" since the 1980s, recently visited Japan to exchange views on the future of the country.

Adam Michnik is editor-in-chief of the Gazeta Wyborcza, Poland's largest daily newspaper.
