"Evaluation of Quality Control System in a National Tubercular Center, and the problem of culture examination"
I. Evaluation of Quality Control System (QCS) in smear examination
NTP was started from 1994 here in Mongolia. Being in front of the limited budget and equipment, NTP is carried out by Dr.Tsogt first and the wonderful leadership of the staff of NTC, and moreover with efforts and cooperation of Tuberculosis hospital of AIMAG.And remarkable good results are shown in these six years.
A report here, I will report QCS in smear examination, which is also one of the bases of NTP. Already, although Dr. Naranbart reported "The QCS of smear examination of Mongolia" to IUATLD in 1998, the present situation is introduced including the following result.
1. Overall agreement rate
It is improving favorably every year.
2. False Positive
3. False Negative
Both of the rates are improving every year, and it reached less than 5% of the target.
4. The quality of sputum
5. The quality of staining
6. The quality of smear size
7. The quality of smear cleanness
8. The quality of smear evenness
9. The quality of smear thickness
Almost, all the items are improved favorably every year. They reached the target except for two items. (Red line is our target.)
