2.1 Manufacturing Profile
Two-stroke Engines
The MC engine programme was initiated in 1983. The engines are primarily used for the propulsion of containerships, tankers, bulk carriers and other cargo vessels. The MC-C engines were launched in 1997 and were designed specifically for container ship propulsion. The company's most successful engines are the 60MC/MC-C, followed by the 50MC/MC-C and the 70MC/MC-C.
