The 10,134-dwt general cargo hip SIAM IVORY was built at Hashihama Works of Shin Kurushima Dockyard Co., Ltd.and delivered in January 1999 to New Shipcarrier S.A.
The vessel has three (3) cargo holds and particularly Nos.2 and 3 holds are designed as double hull construction, and has wide hatches of 14.63 m long x 10.60 m wide for No.1 and 20.02 m long x 15.40 m wide for No.2 and 3, for efficient handling of timber and long steel products. The vessel is equipped with two (2) electro hydraulic deck cranes, each with a lifting capacity of 30 tons, and one (1) derrick boom with 25 tons.
