ASIAN OLIVE 390,000-cft Refrigerated Cargo Ship
The 390,000-cft refriger ted carrier ASIAN OLIVE, built at Setoda Works of Naikai Zosen Corporation, was delivered to Golden Helm Shipping Co., S.A.on September 30, 1999.
Features
1. The vessel is flushdecker with forecastle. The engine room and bridge are arranged aft. This 390,000-cft refriger ted carrier is provided with bulbous bow and a stern bulb, fixed pitch propeller and a mariner rudder.
2. The refrigerated cargo space is divided into a total of 15 compartments, with the No.1 hold being divided into three tiers and the Nos.2 through 4 holds into four. The temper ture in the holds can be controlled within range of -25℃ to +15℃. There is special device to extend the expir tion date of stored food by sealing nitrogen gas in the refriger ted holds during transit.
3. Besides bananas, other fruits and refriger ted items (meats) for which the vessel is mainly intended, a total of 26 40-foot containers can be stowed on the upper deck and hatch covers.Arrangements are also made to accommodate passenger cars on each deck in the holds.
4. Each hold has h tch with folding type cover at deck level, and four sets of 5-t burton-system derricks are arranged on the upper deck.
