DA FU 16,500-dwt Heavy Cargo Ship
A 16,500-dwt heavy cargo ship DA FU was built at Sakaide Works of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. and delivered to DA FU Maritime Inc. in October 1998.
Features
1. Two 250 t cranes provided on the port side of the upper deck can load heavy cargo up to 500 t. In addition, one 30 t deck crane is provided on the fore port side of the upper deck.
2. The ship is a flush decker with forecastle and has two cargo holds, 37.4 m on the fore side and 72 m aft, in which various cargoes can be flexibly loaded.
3. No.2 cargo hold has a three-level movable deck so as to set the deck according to cargo. In addition, two removable transverse bulkheads are provided under the 2nd deck.
4. The ballast control console with an automatic heel adjustment function is provided in the wheelhouse so that the operator can adjust the heel, watching the heavy cargo when loading.
