LIBERTY CONTAINER 1,454-TEU Container Ship
LIBERTY CONTAINER was built at Shin Kurushima Dockyard Co., Ltd. and delivered to Powick Marine (S) Pte., Ltd. in July 1999.
The vessel is designed for carrying containers to a total of 1,454 TEUs. The container space is divided into five holds fore of the engine room and one aft.Containers can be stowed 11 rows and four or five tier on hatches and eight rows and five tiers in the holds.
Some 40-or 45-foot containers can be stowed on the aft mooring deck. A total of 100 TEUs of air-cooled reefer containers can be stowed on the hatches.
Dangerous cargo containers can be stowed on deck and in Nos.3 and 4 holds.
The vessel has two (2) sets of 40 metric-tons x 30 m-radius electro-hydraulic deck cranes, and is equipped with auto-heel control system for safe operation, and bow thruster for effective maneuverability in ports.
