NSS CONFIDENCE Iron Ore Carrier
The 229,545-dwt iron ore carrier NSS CONFIDENCE, built at Chiba Works of Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (MES), was delivered to her owner Nippon Steel Shipping Co., Ltd. in February, 1999.
Features
1. Five (5) cargo holds with nine (9) hatches and large cargo hold opening are provided.
2. The side rolling-type hatch covers are installed to achieve opening and closing with little manual labor.
3. The top construction of the superstructure was designed to be slim for reduced air resistance during navigation.
4. The main engine is the Mitsui MAN B&W super-long stroke 6S80MC diesel (MK-VI) with a low fuel consumption performance.
