JIPRO DREAM 19,477-dwt Chemical Tanker
The 19,477-dwt chemical carrier JIPRO DREAM was built at Hiroshima Works of the Shin Kurushima Dockyard Co., Ltd.and delivered in October 1999 to Jipro Shipping S.A.
The vessel was built for ocean transport of chemicals (IMO type II and III) and oil products.
The vessel has 22 cargo tanks constructed of stainless steel SUS316L / LN. All cargo tanks and slop tanks are of double hull structure and have enough strength to permit a full cargo of 1.30 t / m3 in specific gravity.
Structures protruding into the tanks are minimized by using the on-deck girder system for the upper deck and vertical corrugated type bulkheads.
Each cargo tank is equipped with one (1) submerged cargo pump driven by a hydraulic motor, which are remotely controlled from the cargo control room.
Cargo handling is simplified by a 5 metric-ton hydraulic-operated deck crane for hose handling, arranged amidship on the upper deck.
