MORNING EXPRESS 84,994-dwt Product Oil Carrier
The double-hull Aframax clean product carrier MORNING EXPRESS was built at Yokosuka Shipyard of Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. and delivered to Nakata Maritime Corporation in June 2000.
The vessel is one of the biggest product oil carriers and categorized as "LR-II" type.
Features
1. Cargo tank painting system and materials well suited for carrying clean product oil and crude oil.
2. Anti-corrosion measures by heavy tar epoxy coating with back-up anodes in water ballast tanks for less maintenance.
3. Large cargo tank capacity of triple-segregation groups for flexible cargo handling.
4. VECS (Vapor Emission Control System) to prevent air pollution during cargo handling.
5. SILD (Sumitomo Integrated Lammeren Duct) on the stern frame to save fuel, to improve maneuverability and to reduce hull vibrations.
6. Fixed flammable gas detection system in water ballast tanks adjacent to cargo oil tanks.
