12.3 System of Zohaku Web

"Zohaku Web" is developed toward the most important target for development of the network which is open, rich in expandability, inexpensive and easy to participate, keeping it in mind that the intended technical information can be firmly exchanged between companies different from each other in the system infrastructure. As illustrated in System Image Fig.12.1, the system comprises the client machine to be installed in each of members in shipyards and marine equipment suppliers, and the shared server machine by the members. The first function is the information disclosure and transmission, and can browse/upload/download the technical data stored in the data library on the common server from the client machine through the Internet. The technical data can be directly transmitted/received between the client machines of the member companies in shipyards and marine equipment suppliers without through the common server. The second function is to exchange/share/store the common data between the members including the standardized data items for each equipment to be separately prepared by the data exchanging/sharing/storing function, to implement the automatic mapping of the data defined in the style of table, and to exchange the CAD data. Though the connection with the in-house system of each company is not included, the specification for the connection is presented. The third function is the designsupport desk-top function to operate the above-de-scribed information exchanging and transmitting function. and the data exchanging/sharing/storing function. This function is the interface between the system and the users, and the users can easily implement a series of operations thereby. Various technical data prepared by each construction stage can be delivered to or shared with the partner company by the above-described 3 functions (to exchange and share the data between companies), and the historical information can be added to these technical data, and stored and managed (storage of the data). Further, the technical data to be prepared by the construction stage can be utilized with other stages (to exchange and share the data between stages).
