In other words, this technology was developed for realizing the constant pressure combustion technique.

ASSIGN (Available Space Scatter Injection Geometric Nexus) combustion system which is shown as Fig.2.4.14-3, improved the reduction of fuel injection period and the better minimizing atomization performance of fuel by using of the staggered layout nozzle which has many small holes. And changing the shape of combustion chamber from a shallow dish type which is standard in this class (cylinder bore: over 200mm) as usual to a deep dish type, this engine could improve shorter combustion period by better available air ratio without worse combustion, and get less NOx emission, lower fuel consumption and reduced smoke generation at same time. Yanmar started to sell the series of Eco-Diesel SAVETEN type (V) engines which were applied this technology to the usual series of N.
