4) Acquisition of verification for NOx emission

As the valuation of the reduction technique of NOx emission which has accumulated for long years as a preserving technique of the ecology, the 32CLX type engine (276〜368kW/cyl.) has been obtained verifications for NOx emission EIAPP of E2, E3 and D1 test cycles through the NOx emission judgement of Nippon Kaiji Kyokai. It was the first acquisition in Japan as a group engine. And On E2 and E3 mode, 41 HX (490〜736kW/cyl.), 28BT (147〜172kW/cyl.) and 31BT (196〜221kW/cyl.) type engines were acquired the verification for NOx emission EIAPP through the NOx emission judgement of Nippon Kaiji Kyokai.

5) Marketing cooperation with General Electric Company of the USA

For the completion of world wide service system, the marketing cooperation of 13 kinds of diesel engines which is from 1,392kW to 9,990kW was concluded with General Electric Company.

(2) Annual results of manufacture

The annual results of main engines, auxiliary engines, turbo chargers, elastic couplings, Z type propulsion systems and total output of main & auxiliary engines are shown as Table 2.4.7-3.

・ETotal power: 105,596kW (143,570 PS).

(3) Related equipment

The electronic equipments for constructing the engine watch system "HANASYS" were investigated the environmental test of NK standards, and passed. So the company got the better adaptable skill for various environmental tests, in addition to apply these equipments to other registered ships include with MO ships.

 

2.4.10 Hitachi Zosen Corporation

(1) Development of new model

The main engine of Hitachi-MAN-B&W 7S60MC-C type was produced, and carried out to the ordered dockyard. This engine is compact and high output owing to the latest design of MAN-B&W MC-C type, so the brake mean effective pressure reaches to 1.9 MPa. This engine has been obtained the verification for NOx emission EIAPP of E3 mode, and the variations of performance characters were within the limits of design. The principal particulars are shown as follows:
