The NOx concentration shown in this figure were converted into NOx13. As this figure indicates, the NOx13 values decrease with increase in the absolute humidity of supply air. This test shows that NOx concentration in emissions is 850 to 900ppm when no additional moisture is added, except when the engine load is 10%. When the absolute humidity of supply air is 20 g/kg, NOx13 is a low 500 ppm under an engine load between 50 and 100%.
Fig.7 provides the relationship between absolute humidity of supply air and specific NOx13, with reference to no-additional-moisture condition. As this figure indicates, decrease in the NOx concentration based on absolute humidity of supply air is different between when engine loads are a low 10% or 25% and when they are 50% or higher. Under high absolute humidity of supply air, NOx13 at low engine load levels are lower than those at high load levels.
4.3.2 Change of Supply Air Temperature
Fig.8 presents changes in NOx13 values under varying supply air temperature, for engine load levels of 25, 50 and 75% specified in the test cycle type D2(E2).
