4. CONCLUSION

 

We are now developing and producing Mitsubishi UEC-LS II/LSC/LSE series engines with the design concepts of high reliability, high performance and high environmental flexibility.

The designing method on UEC engines is the consideration of actual field factors through the feed-back of the service results, the application of CAE technique and the verification tests in the existing UEC-LS II engines and test engine in the laboratory, etc., and this ensures the production of the highest quality engines.

The test results of the first UEC37LS II engine, which was developed with this method, verified the superiority in the reliability, in the performance and in the low emissions.

The UEC-LSE engines follow the design concepts of UEC-LS II series and the engine power is increased by the experimental and analytical verification methods above.

The UEC-LSE engines are designed to be in compliance with the IMO NOx regulation as the most fashionable engines in the 21st century.
