1. Exception Report of the secretariat of ISO/TC8/SC7
1.1 To the item 5.1 of the Report on progress of work in ISO/TC8/SC7 for the 18th plenary meeting of ISO/TC8 in Tokyo (doc. ISO/TC8 N 934, Annex 7).
1.1.1 In 1999 ISO/TC8/SC7 in common with CEN/TC15 has begun the revision of [07.26] ISO 6218: 1981 "Shipbuilding - Inland navigation - Coupling winches for push tows - Main dimensions".
In December 1999 the secretariat of ISO/TC8/SC7 has distributed among the P-members of ISO/TC8/SC7 for comments ISO/CD (prEN ISO 6218: 1999-12) prepared by CEN/TC15 (this project was also sent to the secretariat of ISO/TC8 for information see our letter nr. ISO/TC8/SC7 N 43 dated 1999-12-21).
We asked the P-members of ISO/TC8/SC7 to send their comments to the secretariat of ISO/TC8/SC7 and to the secretariat of CEN/TC15 by 20 March 2000. For the present we have not got replies from the P-members of SC7. At the end of April 2000 a meeting of CEN/TC15 will take place where prEN ISO 6218: 1999-12 and proposals concerning its modification will be discussed.
The revision of ISO 6218: 1981 shall be both included officially into the Programme of Work of ISO/TC8/SC7 and took into consideration in doc. ISO/TC8 N R4.
