Title: Exception report of ISO/TC8/SC9
The progress of the activities of SC9 is favourable. The following is a report on SC9 main activities made after the ISO/TC8/SC9 Tokyo meeting which was held on 19 October 1999.

It was agreed as the result of consideration at the Tokyo meeting that the next consideration of the draft should be the stage of ISO/DIS 15016 (Ships and marine technology - General requirements - Guidelines for the assessment of speed and power performance by analysis of sea trial data). This item is now under the amendment work of the draft whereby the SC9 members' opinions submitted for ISO/CD 15016 are being taken into account, and also under the process of putting the text into the template. After completing this phase of work, the SC9 Secretariat will send ISO/CS the prepared of ISO/DIS 15016.
2. Sea trials
In accordance with the decision at the Tokyo meeting, the SC9 Secretariat asked SC9 members, with the draft submitted by the CEN side attached, to enroll in the subject project, if they wish to take part in it, and to send their comments on the draft to Mr. Campos, the convener of this item.
At SC9 Secretariat's request, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Poland applied for re-recruiting and informed Mr. Campos of the names of their experts.
Japan and Poland submitted their comments on the draft prepared by the CEN side.
Mr. Campos was asked to arrange an SC9/WG4 (Sea trials) meeting in Gdansk, Poland.
