Changes in the ISO/TC8/SC3 programme of work since the 1999 ISO/TC8 plenary meeting
1. The position of the Secretariat has been transferred from the Marine Machinery Association to
the U.S. Coast Guard. The new ISO/TC8/SC3 Secretariat is:

3. With the decision by Norway and Portugal to change their membership status from O-Member to P-member, the total number of P-Members has increased from 12 to 14 and the total number of O-Members has decreased from 8 to 6. The fourteen P-members and the six O-members are shown as follows [changes are marked by an asterisk (*)]:
P-members (14*): China, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Norway*, Portugal*, Romania, Russian Federation, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and USA
O members (6*): Brazil, Bulgaria, Cuba, Poland, Slovakia, and Spain
4. At the September 2000 Subcommittee meeting in London, the Subcommittee decided to disestablish the external liaison with ISO/TC 108 on Mechanical shock and vibration. Therefore, the ISO/TC 8/SC 3 internal liaisons are:
