Resolution #4 on availability of the ISO/CS annual report on TC8 in electronic format.
The TC8 Secretariat will request the ISO/CS to make its Annual Report on TC8 available in electronic format and place this Report on the ISO TC server.
This does not mean to handle ISO/CS Annual Report by TC8 side, just means to have the same up-to-date information both ISO/CS and TC8 through the ISO server. First priority in TC8 is 8N 1000, all information created in TC8 subcommittees should be collected by the TC8 secretary for up-to-date 8N 1000 and the other documents should be developed from this.

・ Newsletter NO.5
A copy of the 5th issue of the ISO/TC8 Newsletter was distributed to all delegates and will be sent by mail to several other parties.
It was reported that over one thousand copies of the 4th issue had been distributed to the members of TC8, IMO meetings, and to other interested parties.
Members are again requested to provide articles for the Newsletters and particularly the Subcommittee Chairmen are requested to provide one or two paragraphs of interest on their work.
The publication of Journal of Commerce in USA
Mr. Hime introduced that publications made by the Chairman in the US Journal of Commerce regarding worldwide articles of ISO/TC8 were excellent.
The ISO Bulletin
Mr. Hime introduced that two kinds of articles about TC8 were recorded in recent ISO Bulletin. The first one is two Bulk Carrier standards by Mr. Abram and the other is an article of TC8/SC2 Environmental Protection.
Mr. Hime encouraged the TC8/AG members to take the opportunity to write the articles for each country.
8 N 1000 Status Report
・ 8 N 1000 R4 draft
Mr. Ogo explained about the development of the database for 8N1000 R4 draft, Status Report.
It was reported that the database of 8N 1000 R4 draft was almost completed by using Visual Basic form and soon, it would be available for TC8 and subcommittee secretaries.
Mr. Ogo requested to the TC8/AG members to inform possible corrections of 8N1000, if any exist.
・ Review of Business Plan
The Ad Hoc group (Mr. Nordal. Mr. Van Dijk, Mr. Angelo and the Chairman of TC8) has devoted the work to this topic. The point of this topic is how to deal with the ISO Business Plan format (Template) which has changed by ISO/TMB recently.
