6. Meetings held since the last ISO/TC 8 plenary:
SC 1 plenary meeting, Washington 2000-05-15/16
7. Schedule of future meetings:
SC 1 plenary meeting, Copenhagen 2001-04-18/20
8. Inactive P-member bodies: As discussed in paragraph 3.4 above, Korea (CSK) has yet to respond to any correspondence or ballots since the formation of the Sub-committee over five years ago.
9. Any other matters of importance to ISO/TC8: At its 45th session to be held 8-12 January 2001, the IMO FP Sub-Committee will decide the fate of ISO/DIS 17631 Ships and marine technology - Safety plans for fire protection, life saving appliances and means of escape - Arrangement as a replacement for IMO Res. A.654(16). However, balloting for ISO/DIS 17631 does not formally terminate until 17 January 2001. All members, and P-members in particular, should be strongly encouraged to review and vote on this DIS as early as possible so that the ISO representative at FP can report complete or almost-complete voting results to the Sub-Committee at the meeting. This is the last opportunity to get this document accepted by FP, since the work item will be dropped from the Sub-Committee's work programme after this session.
