Relationship to Physical
・Physical plant items may be assigned to a piping system line segment, indicating that a particular plant item realizes (part of) the line.
・The only place where logical connections correspond to physical connections are where lines terminate at equipment. (Most physical connection do not correspond to logical connections.)
Line Branches
・Branches are a connection involving a single segment termination (node) and another line segment, i.e., the connection on the second segment does not take place at a termination.
・ Branches are sequenced from the start of the segment to the end of the segment.
