5. Scope of the AP planning project:
The ship AP Project Plan defines the information necessary to describe various ship data functional areas including structural systems, distribution system sand mission subsystems/equipment to be exchanged between dissimilar product model definition systems. The project plan concerns itself with four major application areas that correspond to major stages of a ship's life cycle:
