。?ifference between esophageal voicing and belching
Here we must distinguish esophageal voicing from proper belching. If you take some aerated drink or lemon pop or a little tartaric acid with a half-spoonful of baking soda, you will belch repeatedly. When gas generated in the stomach is sent out noisily through the mouth, it is belching. It is useful for realizing the sensation you feel when air moves through the esophagus. You may try it two or three days, but don't try any longer. It is because if you are too dependent on this way you will cherish the fixed idea that you cannot produce voice without the help of this means. Moreover it is more than you can bear to keep on having a soda pop or a beer every time you talk.
