Learning the inhalation explained above has the following advantages.

i) You learn to inhale quickly.

ii) You can speak a longer time in one inhalation when more air is taken into the esophagus.

iii) You can breathe naturally and speak fluently. With this method, your listeners cannot tell by your appearance when you have taken air into your esophagus.

Inhalation method is therefore the type of esophageal speech most highly recommended.

・ Mr. Hisanaga, a member of the Ginrei-Kai, gives the following advice to improve sucking force:

"Close your lips and inhale through the nose into the throat just like in sniffing, then return the air to the nasal cavity with your lips closed. At this moment, forcibly try making a resonant sound within the nose.

"Advanced esophageal speakers rarely move their mouth or face in inhaling into the esophagus, and may move only the base of the tongue. The deep throat contains a valve-like structure which opens or closes the passage to the nasal cavity. You can use this as a pump by controlling your abdominal pressure."
