The proceeds trom the tax levy may be used for both capital projects and operating expenses, but may not be used to pay for debt service on any of the revenue bonds that the Port issues to finance capital projects.

 

4. Restrictions on Buildings within Port District

1) Please indicate any other legislation, ordinances (national, state, county, municipal, etc.) and any arrangements with a private sector and the sort which provide a basis for the above.

For the Port of Seattile, the "Port Districr is the area within which the Port levies taxles on real properiy:, and for which the Port is duty-bond to sewe. This "Port Dlstncr does not grant the Port any other administrative powers, unlike the "Port Districts "' in some other countries.

3) Please indicate the buildings that can be constructed within the port district and the entities that are able to carry out construction (Please fill in a table of following page.)

Given the answer to the question above, the areas under direct control of the Port are lands and waters that the Port owns. In these areas, the use of the property, the construction of all buildings and other physical facilities are governed by the zoning regula tions and building codes of the City of Seaulle. In addition, all shoreline areas within 100 feet of the Mean High Water Line are subject to additional (and more stringent) regulations under the Shoreline Management Act of the State of Washington.
