(d) FP43/3/5を基に、代替火災安全措置に対する評価基準指針を作成する。
(ロ) SOLAS新II-2章案を検討するためにFP44の前週に中間会合(5日間)を開催することについて賛同し、MSCにその承認を求めることとなった。(本件についてはMSC71が承認した。)
2.8 FP43〜FP44の審議の経緯
2.8.1 II-2/CG
FP43とFP44の間のII-2/CGはFP42における審議を受けて、SOLAS新II-2章案の構築に向けて、以下の項目について検討を開始した。なお、II-2/CGの幹事は、FP43までは我が国が務めてきたが、FP43からFP44の間は米国(Unites States Coast Guard)が幹事を引き継ぐこととなった。
・SOLAS新II-2章案関係
1. Incorporate unified interpretations as set forth in Annex 1, FP43/WP6.
2. Incorporate max fire load criteria as agreed by the WG at FP43.
3. Incorporate text for EEBD's as set forth in FP42/16, Annex 5 and agreed by the WG at FP 43.
4. Add the definition of "In service" as agreed by the WG at FP43.
5. Change the heading in CRII-2/7.8 to "Fire alarm signaling system."
6. Incorporate regulatory text for Means of Escape CRII-2/13.1.1 agreed by the WG at FP43.
7. Review Part E against the requirements of SOLAS Chapter II, ISM, and STCW and make appropriate revisions.
8. Complete CRII-2/17 and ensure harmonization with the Part F design guide.
9. Incorporate proposed amendments to II-2/15 based on FP 43/3/10, MSC 69/6/2, and discussion of the WG at FP43.
10. Delete section of CRII-2/9.4.2.4 based on proposal by Germany in Annex to FP 43/3/8.
11. Resolve proposal by France to amend II-2/Reg 30 for closing of fire doors as set forth in FP43/9/6.
12. Incorporate proposed II-2/52-1 as set out in Annex 5 of FP43/18 per the instructions of paragraph. 5.4 of FP43/18.
13. Incorporate definitions of ro-ro, open ro-ro, and special category spaces based on HSC Code definitions developed at FP43.
14. Incorporate new text to II-2/7 as set forth in Annex 9 of FP43/18 into the new II-2.
15. Insert marker in CR II-2 for deep fat cooking equipment based on Annex in FP41/WP8.
16. Rearrange II-2 to harmonize with the Part F design guidelines.
17. Resolve Means of Escape from Watertight Compartments below the bulkhead deck per FP43/9/3.
