EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE'S REPORT: ACTIVITIES & ISSUES
The Executive Committee, comprised as follows:
Chair Singapore Polytechnic
Vice Chair Shanghai Maritime University
Secretary Australian Maritime College
Treasurer The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Member Tokyo University of Mercantile Marine
is pleased to submit the following report on activities and issues during the period elapsed since the 3rd AGM in Shanghai on 22 October 1998.
(In this report the sequence and headings of items accord with the 1999 Workplan drawn up at Executive Committee Meeting 5/98, which was held following the 1998 AGM)
1 Transfer the AMETIAP web site to an Australian provider
Done. The address of the AMETIAP site is www.ametiap.org
2 Produce and circulate a newsletter as soon as feasible
Newsletters Nos 2 and 3 were produced and circulated in February and July.
3 Examine Section 1 of Article 3 of the Constitution during 1999 to better define membership grades
Amended to provide for business members-needs further consideration.
4 Pay auditor's fee
