ANNEX 2: Setting Up Web Browsers for Livelink Intranet
To access any ISO Web server, end users need to have one of the following Web browser installed on their workstations. The browser has to be installed in a way that it accepts cookies. In the following it is described how the different browsers can be set in a way so that they accept cookies.
Netscape Navigator 3.0x
Cookies are accepted by default in this version of Netscape browser.
Netscape Navigator 4.0x
To allow cookies in Netscape Navigator 4.0x browser:
1. Open Netscape Browser and click Preferences on the Edit menu.
2. Click on the Advanced tree branch in the left-hand list box.
3. Click on Accept all cookies.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0x
Cookies are accepted by default in this version of Internet Explorer.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0x
To allow cookies in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0x browser:
1. Open Internet explorer and click Internet options on the View menu
The Internet options dialog box opens
2. Click on the Advanced Tab
3. Scroll Options to Securities and Cookies
4. Click on Always accept cookies
Microsoft Internet Explorer is now set up to accept cookies in order to establish a session with an ISO server.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0x
To allow cookies in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0x browser:
1. Open Internet explorer and click Internet options on the Tools menu. The Internet options dialog box opens
2. Click on the Security Tab.
3. Click on the Custom Level button.
4. Scroll Settings to Cookies
5. Click on Enable for both type of Cookies
Microsoft Internet Explorer is now set up to accept cookies in order to establish a session with the ISOTC server.
