Manufacturing domain Task force: PDM convenience production, etc. The evolution of PDM Schema was presented with some additions on the new trend of development of this industry standard. PDM Enablers are using STEP PDM Schema but work with other features that are out of scope of STEP. Want to use STEP as core technology for data exchange however.

6.2 AP212 Ships Usage Guide (by Gerry Radack)
Ship APではAP227(プラント配管情報)と共にAP212(電気機器部品情報)の利用を計画している。利用ガイドはSOLIS(SC4 On-line lnfo. Service)で文書N785として参照可能となっている。しかしShip Apデータ構造との互換性の検討が未だなされておらず、ship APの検証モデル(Conformance Class)も未入手(まだできていないためあまり進んでいない)。

Issues: lack of data elements in the companion IEC 61360-4; Interoperability with SCM and AP227; Candidate CAE tools; Usage guide based on ARM; Feedback. The usage guide is based in the ARM. AP212 needs a CC to make sure it conforms to the SCM.
Jim Mays: some ship issues were accommodated without having an impact in the schedule of the AP212, not significant changes but something that was important for Shipbuilding.
