Intelligent power supplies
Each Emergency Battery Power Supply (EBPS) unit provides the required one hour supply and each has the capacity to ensure only two units are needed per firezone, as well as redundancy back up should one unit fail.
A printed circuit board built into the EBPS handles communication with central unit and other parts of the system.
The EBPS have a manual activation feature and "internal-failure" indication.
A number of interface options
The basic a-line® system has been prepared for a number of useful interface options that can easily be added after installation of a basic system. These are interface to NAVECS system, interface to emergency switchboard and Data Aquisition Unit(DAU).
Automatic Selective Alarm Activation via NACACS or DAU, Flashing Exit Signs, running LED-light replacing Direction Sign, cabin displays showing necessary information, in case of emergency and interface to smoke and heat detectors.
Selftesting capabilities
The system has a useful "selftest" facility and can be linked to a printer. This feature enables the system to produce weekly test reports of its current status as required by the IMO Resolution A.752 (18) thus saving manhours and increasing safety.
Flexible LED strip installation
The LED's used in the LLL strips operate at 40 V AC and each LED has an inbuilt microchip to supply intelligence. The LED will produce the required light in emergency situations and can be provided in green, yellow or red colours.
The strips can be mounted in specially developed aluminium profiles with a mirror inlay and plastic cover or other profiles (e.g. RIVINOX) or adaptions in accordance with owners and/or architect requirements.
The system also incorporates exit signs and has inbuilt protection against electrical interruption and/or mechanical destruction of supply lines.
Intelligence is your choice
The amount of intelligence to be built into a basic system at your choice. This means you can start with a simple and cost effective system without having to be restricted to it in the future.
a-line®fully complies with regulations and ISO standard and has been submitted to classification societies for approval.
