EXCEPTION REPORT (REVISED)

Changes in the ISO/TC 8/SC 3 programme of work since the 1998 ISO/TC 8 plenary meeting

 

1. With Brazil's decision to change its membership status from P-Member to O-member and the additions of Portugal and Spain as O-Member Nations, the total number of P-Members has decreased from 13 to 12 and the total number of O-Members has increased from 5 to 8. The twelve P-members and the eight O-members are shown as follows [changes are marked by an asterisk (*)]:

 

P-members (12*): China, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Romania, Russian Federation, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and USA

O-members (8*): Brazil*, Bulgaria, Cuba, Norway, Poland, Portugal*, Slovakia, and Spain*

 

2. Changes in the participation of ISO/TC 8/SC 3 members in SC 3 working groups are shown as follows [with changes marked by an asterisk (*)]:

-WG 2 Incinerators on board ships

-Participation: Japan*, Romania*, and USA

-WG 3 Ship machinery

-Participation: Denmark, Japan*, Romania*, Sweden, and USA

-WG 8 Piping Systems

-Participation: Denmark, Germany, Japan *, Romania, Russian Federation, United Kingdom, and USA

 

3. Changes in the status of the 22 active work items under consideration in the ISO/TC 8/SC 3 Programme of work are indicated as follows (with changes marked by an asterisk):

(03.06) ISO/DIS 3715-1 "Ships and marine technology-Propulsion plants for ships -Part 1: Terms and definitions for geometry of propellers"(Revision of ISO 3715: 1978)
