Kawasaki UA Marine Propulsion Turbines

Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. began manufacturing steam turbines under technological cooperation with Curtis Co., (U.S.A.) and John Brown (Great Britain) in 1907. Since then, with the original technology always managing to stay ahead of competition, Kawasaki developed, has earned for the company a high reputation in the field of marine turbines.

Responding to the need for high-power, high-efficiency, easy maintenance and super-automated systems, Kawasaki has developed new types of marine propulsion plants such as the UA, UB, UC non-reheat plants, and UR reheat plant.

The recently improved versions of UA turbines for LNG carriers have been delivered for the projects in Japan and abroad such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Abu Dhabi and Korea. The high reliability of these turbines has been proved by the operation of more than 150 units delivered to date.

Completely standardized and series-designed Kawasaki marine turbines are available in many types and sizes.
