YAESHIMA NO.12 Passenger/Car Ferry
The 340-gt type passenger/car ferry YAESHIMA NO.12 was completed at Taguma Works of Naikai Zosen Corporation, and delivered to Akitsu Ferry K.K. on January 16, 1998.
The vessel is now in service between Akitsu and Ohnishi (both in Hiroshima Prefecture).
Features
1. The ferry is equipped with propellers and rudders at both the bow and the stern to facilitate berthing and unberthing even in limited quay side space, and also enabled to sail back and forth without having to alter its heading.
2. Cars can roll onto and off the vehicle deck via ramp doors arranged at the bow and stern.
3. The ship has a stylish appearance matching modern sensibility, and offers an extensive field of vision through large windows of its passenger cabins.
4. "Silver rooms" (for preferential use by senior persons) are arranged on the vehicle deck to ensure pleasant voyages for elderly passengers as well.
