KAREN NO.3 High-Concentration Dredger
The high-concentration dredger KAREN NO.3 was completed at Taguma Works of Naikai Zosen Corporation, and delivered to its owner, Toyo Construction Co., Ltd. on December 20, 1996.
Features
1. The KAREN NO.3 is a non-propelled transferable dredger intended for the removal of sediment accumulating on the water bottom, and will be mainly used for dredging lakes.
2. The vessel, capable of removing sediment 30 cm thick from the surface layer, has a dredging capacity of 80m3/h, and can convey the scooped mud over a distance of 5 km using a mud pump built into the ship.
3. The vessel can be transported to any destination by dividing the hull (pontoon) into nine blocks, and dismantling the machinery and equipment.
