100-chassis roll-on and roll-off type cargo ship NO.2 HOKUREN MARU built at Imabari Shipyard of Imabari Ship-building Co., Ltd. was delivered to the owner Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen Co., Ltd. in June, 1997.
Features：
1. This vessel was designed as a high-speed Ro/Ro cargo ship for carrying fresh milk by chassis with tank.
2. Chassis are loaded on the upper deck by passing the rampway located aft and on the freeboard deck by passing the rampway located fore. They can also be lifted down to the tank top by the cargo lifter.
3. She has an anti-rolling tank on the accommodation deck, bow thruster, stern thruster and a damp tank to reduce vibration of the aft part.
