MAERSK TAIKI 4,032-unit Car Carrier
The MAERSK TAIKI 4,032-unit car carrier was completed by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and delivered in December 1997 to A.P. Moller Singapore Pte., Ltd. carrying passenger and commercial cars, light and heavy trucks.
The 11 decks including three liftable car decks for loading heavy trucks are provided. A stern ramp and two side ramps operated by electro-hydraulic winches with one-man operation are also provided.
Rampways in car space are designed to load/unload heavy trucks efficiently as well as passenger cars and to obtain maximized car deck area.
For easy berthing, an electric motor driven bow thruster and a stern thruster are fitted.
Wheelhouse to have superior arrangement and equipment for one-man operation which complies with LRS NAV-1 notation and UMS for engine room unmanned operation.
Integrated computer system with LAN system is arranged for easy management.
