ALIOTH LEADER 14,909-dwt Car Carrier
The car carrier ALIOTH LEADER was completed at the Nagasaki Shipyard of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., and delivered to Gratitude Maritime Co., Ltd. in January 1998.
Features
1. Three of the vessel's 12 car decks are liftable (variable in between-deck clearance) to load various vehicles different in the size.
2. The liftable decks and movable ramp ways and flaps (hinged movable parts) equipped are also flexible in height and variable in three ways according to the height of the vehicles to be carried.
3. The vessel can carry vans, large trucks, large dump trucks, bulldozers and completely knocked down (CKD) vehicle parts in containers in addition to compact passenger private cars.
4. The cargo department and the engine department can be controlled from the ship's office and the engine control room, respectively.
