SEA ROYAL 42,717-dwt Handy Bulk Carrier-a Future-42 vessel
Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy In-dustries Co., Ltd. has completed a Future-42, 42,000-dwt standard handy size bulk carrier. Future-42 vessels were developed to succeed the superior features of the well established IHI Feature-32A series of which more than thirty vessels were built.
Ten Future-42 have been built, and SEA ROYAL is the third of such vessels, and was delivered to Mars Palace Line S.A./South-Point Marine S.A. on June 24, 1997 at Tokyo shipyard.
Features
1. Has well balanced dimensions to cover worldwide trade.
2. Has five cargo holds, strengthened for heavy cargo with Nos. 2 and 4 holds empty and fitted with wide weathertight folding type hatch covers.
3. Has four electro-hydraulic type 30-ton deck cranes and can be fitted with grabs as option.
4. Has fuel efficient hull form with IHI LV (Low Viscous) Fin attached at stern part.
5. Grain cargo can be loaded with untrimmed end.
6. Hold access complies with AWWF.
